Andrew asked...

What was the first dish you ever learned to cook?

what was the first dish you ever learned to cook? - Well, there are two things. One is just coming to mind. I decided I was gonna make something by myself without asking. But it said that I needed either baking powder or whatever, but I didn't know what it was, whatever it said. So I thought, what difference did it make? I'll leave it out. Well, whatever it was, it was a big, you know, failure. But the thing I remember that one of the first things is I wanted to make donuts. So as I was doing the batter, Tony came, he said, "Hey, oh, you're not just gonna make one batter." I doubled the recipe. So I doubled the recipe. And I started making donuts. Well, we had donuts on the table, on the counters, on the sewing machine, on top of the refrigerator. It would never end because you don't waste anything. So I had to keep making donuts. So to this day, donuts enough. So but, okay, give me an age approximately for that. - I was young, maybe 12? - That's very young. That's very young to start cooking something.
