Christin asked...

What was a moment that made being a teacher feel “worth it” to you?

Was there a moment that made being a teacher feel worth it? Like a moment that stands out as really gratifying as a teacher? And you may have sort of already answered that, but does anything stand out? >> I think there were many. One that comes up with somebody, if I said the name, you would know it was the only child I've ever had who was, what's the word when you can't read? >> Like dyslexic or- >> Dyslexic, no matter what method you use, they just can't get it, but I got it. >> How? >> And they wrote to me just recently how Simon has developed nicely and they still, and they now live in Ireland. >> But was there, how did you eventually get it? >> How did what? >> How did you eventually crack the code? >> Well, I had to, let's say I showed him the letter A. Two seconds later, he didn't know the letter A. Well, this is, this is Wilkinson. >> Right, yeah, okay. >> So I wanna tell you, I went to the, I did it for free, I went to his house. And I helped him. >> And so was it just time? Was it just, it was just time. >> Just time to keep going over, going back, this is an A, okay, now. But he's, he's working now in California, a responsible job, yeah. >> Wow, great, okay, that's, that's amazing.
