Questions for Grammy

This website catalogues a series of questions that Elsie Spelman's grandchildren (and one of her great-grandchildren) wanted to ask her on the occasion of her 100th birthday.

The original idea for this project was proposed by Chris. Each grandchild asked 10 questions, which were organized, asked, and recorded by Daniel. The videos and transcripts of her responses can be found on this website, which was built and maintained by Michael.

You can see all of the questions by clicking Questions in the bar above, which will take you to a complete list of all questions. You can also Browse to navigate the questions via a set of curated tags based on the nature of each question. Otherwise, there is a Search page to search for specific words/phrases in either the question or the transcript of the response.

This website is still a work-in-progress: some of the interviews may be incomplete, the transcripts may contain incorrect words/spelling, and the styling of the site may change. If you have any issues, please reach out to Michael.
